Our plastic surgery office is seeking a Spanish speaking Medical Assistant with medical receptionist experience. You will assist doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to administration and patient care management. The target is to complete all front desk activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. An ideal candidate should be people oriented, driven, and a fast learner. We will train you on prospective tasks.

Main Responsibilities

• • Answer phone calls and follow up with patients
  • Schedule appointments through Practice Fusion
  • Verify insurance and copays
  • Submit insurance referrals to other specialties
  • Update and file medical records and insurance approvals
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

Supportive Responsibilities

• • Room patient to respective treatment room
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

• • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Experience as a medical assistant in front office
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical office management and best practice
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred

• • Trained or certified medical assistant
  • 1 year of medical receptionist experience
